Chocolate Chip Cookies

Everybody has their own version of a chocolate chip cookie recipe. And they all say their cookies are the best. People are proud to be able to make chocolate chip cookies because they love these cookies. Just the mentioning of chocolate chip cookies will make your mouth water. Even my Chinese friend who is in her 70s raved about the chocolate chip cookies I made for her the other day. That made me quite happy. Lynard loves chocolate chip cookies. In fact, he maybe eating too many cookies.

Downsize The Lifestyle

My resolution for this year is to get rid of everything unnecessary in my life and in my house, one priority at a time, starting with my messy office. We are downsizing so to speak. But, no, we are not moving into a smaller house. Instead, we are checking what’s important to us and what is not. It is time to cut out people and things that are big distractions in us oldies lifestyle. The older we get, the less our bodies and minds are capable of handling things and stress. let go, let it all go. Your health is more important than anything else.

Being A People Pleaser Is Bad For Your Health

Guilt Trip bw

I probably will get yelled at for being a selfish crazy woman. That’s ok. But for all you middle aged folks out there, you know what I am talking about. Been there, done that.

From the moment we were born, adults taught us to smile for them. As we got older, we were told to share our toys and food with siblings. When we got a job, we were trained to be warm and fuzzy, never say no to customers. Once we got married, we were expected to take care of the family, the spouse, the kids, the pets, the parents, the parents’ parents, the in-laws, the siblings, the kids’ kids. Once again, never say no when Continue reading
